The School of Healing and Deliverance is a ministry training division of Powerhouse International Christian University (PICU), founded by Apostle Dr. Jacquelyn Powell. Rooted in apostolic teaching and sound biblical doctrine, the School equips spiritual leaders with the knowledge, tools, and practical experience needed to minister healing and deliverance in the church, the home, and the community. Students may take individual courses to deepen their personal walk or complete the full curriculum to earn the Healing and Deliverance Certification. About the Founder
Apostle Dr. Jacquelyn Elaine Powell is the Founder of Powerhouse International Christian University and Senior Leader of Powerhouse International Ministries. A seasoned apostolic leader, teacher, and deliverance minister, Dr. Powell has dedicated her life to equipping believers to walk in spiritual authority and kingdom purpose. Through the School of Healing and Deliverance, she provides practical, scripture-based training that empowers Christians to identify, confront, and overcome the forces of darkness. Dr. Powell is also the author of Such A Time As This: A Seven-Step Journey to Discovering and Walking in Your God-Given Purpose.

Spiritual Warfare I
The Basics of Spiritual Warfare
Course: SW101
Schedule: Tuesdays — August 18, 25; September 1, 8, 15, 2026
Time: 6:15 PM to 8:30 PM
Prerequisite: None
Required Textbook: “The Believer’s Guide to Spiritual Warfare” by Thomas B. White

Course Purpose
Spiritual Warfare I is designed to help students grow in their knowledge and understanding of spiritual warfare and gain the knowledge to live victoriously as a Christian. Students will develop an increased awareness of demonic influences in order to appropriately assess problem situations in the church, home, and community, and learn to recognize when evil forces tamper with family life, relationships, church life, ministry assignments, and devotional life.
Upon Completion
- Identify when you are under a personal demonic attack
- Begin to address every situation from a spiritual perspective
- Utilize spiritual disciplines to aid in the renewing of your mind
- Walk victoriously as a Christian
- Recognize strongholds in your life that may potentially hinder your Christian journey and overall success
Spiritual Warfare II
Application of Methodologies in Spiritual Warfare

Schedule: Tuesdays — September 29; October 6, 13, 20, 27, 2026
Time: 6:15 PM to 8:30 PM
Prerequisite: Spiritual Warfare I
Required Textbook: “How to Cast Out Demons” by Doris Wagner

Course Purpose
Spiritual Warfare II builds on the foundation of Spiritual Warfare I by helping students apply their knowledge in practical ways. Students will develop a plan to implement while under demonic attack, prepare to recognize attacks of the enemy, identify strongholds, and learn to recognize when evil forces are tampering with their family life, relationships, church life, ministry assignments, and devotional life.
Upon Completion
- Take charge of your spiritual warfare walk successfully
- Identify what it takes to work in the deliverance ministry
- Recognize when individuals are under demonic attack
- Identify what the enemy considers legal ground
- Recognize strongholds and generational curses that attempt to keep you and your family bound
- Identify the tools needed to work as a team in the ministry of spiritual warfare
Spiritual Warfare III and Practicum
Ministering Deliverance
Course: SW103
Schedule: Friday, November 13, 2026 — 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Saturday, November 14, 2026 — 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Prerequisite: Spiritual Warfare II
Required Textbook: “How to Cast Out Demons” by Doris M. Wagner; “The Battlefield of the Mind” by Joyce Meyer

Course Purpose
Spiritual Warfare III applies the learnings from Spiritual Warfare I and II in a hands-on ministry context. Students will affirm and develop the use of the power and anointing of God while ministering deliverance, thoroughly understand and utilize deliverance tools and methodologies including the Spiritual Warfare Deliverance Assessment and Common Demon Groupings, and identify a plan for remaining free from demonic oppression.
Upon Completion
- Take charge of your spiritual walk successfully
- Actively participate in deliverance ministry sessions
- Integrate the use of deliverance tools and materials
- Recognize when individuals are under demonic oppression
- Identify demonic strongholds by the lesser hindering spirits
Enrollment Options
All students must complete the PICU Admissions Application and pay the one-time $50 application fee prior to enrolling in any class. The application fee is separate from the class tuition.

What does it mean to Audit a class? Auditing allows you to attend and participate in class sessions without the responsibility of completing homework assignments. Audit students are not eligible for the Healing and Deliverance Certification. Spiritual Warfare III Audit does not include the Practicum requirement. However, if you decide you would like to pursue certification before the end of Spiritual Warfare III, you may pay the difference between the audit price and the full enrollment price ($75 per class) and submit all outstanding assignments at that time.

The spiritual warfare class taught me to recognize the enemy's deceptive tactics. I can understand how the saved can be under attack, or the unsaved can be possessed and need deliverance.
